National Acute Stroke Registry

The OPTIMISING ACCESS national acute stroke registry collects minimal key process data for acute stroke patients that receive treatment with thrombolysis and/or endovascular thrombectomy (EVT). Very minimal personal health information (PHI) requirements and other pertinent security features ensures the security and safety of data entered within the registry.

 The purpose of the registry is to provide quality assurance and a measure and evaluation system for quality improvement initiatives for stroke care. This is realized through interactive data visualizations of the data for easy interpretation of a hospital, region, and provincial performance in acute ischemic stroke treatment in comparison to national performance and benchmarks
